André Greipel (Lotto-Belisol) won the final stage of the Tour of Oman in a bunch sprint at Matrah Corniche while Chris Froome (Sky) sealed overall victory.

Greipel saw off the challenge of Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ.fr) and Sam Bennett (NetApp-Endura) in the sprint to take his third stage victory of the race.

The break of the day featured Christopher Juul Jensen (Tinkoff-Saxo), Michael Hepburn (Orica-GreenEdge) and Alessandro Bazzana (UnitedHealthcare). The trio put up fierce resistance in the finale but were caught within sight of the red kite.

Chris Froome enjoyed an untroubled day to confirm his second successive overall win in Oman, ahead of Tejay van Garderen (BMC) and Rigoberto Uran (Omega Pharma-QuickStep).
